# Open Position

1. **Set the Liquidity Source to '’Orderly pool**

2. **Register**

Click the "Register" button to connect and register your wallet with the platform.

3\. **Add Collateral**&#x20;

Click on "Collateral Used" on the side, and the Orderly Deposit screen will appear as shown. Enter the amount of USDC you want to deposit into Orderly Balance. Funds will be transferred from your wallet to the Orderly Balance, which will serve as collateral for trading within the Orderly Pool.

4. **Long or Short**

Click on "Long" or "Short" depending on which side you would like to open a position on and then choose your order.

Enter the number of tokens you want to trade, and the system will automatically calculate the corresponding USDC amount.

5. **Leverage setting**

Click on the leverage setting to open the leverage adjustment panel. Select your preferred leverage by moving the slider or manually entering a value. Click "Save" to confirm your selected leverage.<br>

6. **Confirm and Execute Your Order**
